When you wake up every morning, what drives you? What is your purpose?
If you want to live a life enriched with love and happiness it begins with you, so find your purpose and find your WHY.
It’s important to take steps daily to move forward, it’s not always going to be an easy road but if you know your purpose, And what drives and inspires you then you WILL improve your life.
Your why will pull you up when you’ve been knocked down and it will keep you fighting when you’re tired. I heard something this morning from one of my favourite speakers saying “don’t look back you’re not going that way, and when you get knocked down.. get back up”
If we know our purpose it will be the reason you keep on fighting for your dreams.. when it hurts, keep going.. for if we push through those tough times they will only make us STRONGER. Stay focused and do NOT loose sight of that.
Be the very best. Sacrifice, get up early & fight back.. you are FAR from ordinary.
I Had a conversation with someone today in which we spoke about our goals and how to be successful..this person was adamant that hard work doesn’t ALWAYS pay off in the end. They told me that some people work themselves to the bone for years and it just never seems to pay off..
Its simple you guys, I responded by telling them that the reason it didn’t pay off was because they had no purpose, they continued to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results & they never saw success because they were comfortable consistently being average.
There are people in this world that work for years within a company but they never progress and they stay at the same level.. I genuinely cannot comprehend why anyone would want to settle and accept average. It’s so important to continue to grow in whatever field that you’re in and be the best at what you do! I understand not everyone has the same mentality as I do but why go through the motions and be like everyone else in this world?
Know WHY you do what you do & exactly what you want to achieve.. Don’t get stuck in the same routine leading to no where.
Have you ever had a conversation where it seems like the person you are speaking to is only half there? They aren’t fully paying attention to you? They aren’t maintaining eye contact in which their body language is telling you they aren’t fully engaged? Well, I have.. many times and I wanted to share something I find powerful.
Attunement, is the interaction between people that shows a sense of connection and a degree of understanding. I learned about this a few years back while I was working at the biggest Fitness club in Canada – in order to engage with my members and build meaningful relationships. Attunement is powerful, and if you can understand and grasp the concept it can really help you grow and value your daily interactions on a deeper level.
When we engage in conversations, not only do we do this verbally but we also communicate by using body language.
You can tell whether someone is fully engaged not only by the conversation flowing smoothly, but by things visually such as hand gestures, head nods and eye contact.
In order to connect and understand the power of attunement when you are speaking to someone, it is important to be 100% focused on the individual standing in front of you and genuinely listen to what it is that they are saying..don’t listen to hear, listen to UNDERSTAND. Ensure that you give that person your undivided attention – when we do this it makes the world of a difference. The conversations are deeper and more meaningful, we are more open and we look forward to connecting with more people daily.
Remember, listen to understand not to hear.. and don’t forget to listen with your eyes.. they say the eyes are the window to the soul.
Today was nothing short of beautiful. I am constantly looking for new avenues to inspire my creativity so I decided to venture into town to visit Manchester’s Art Gallery and have a peek at the different artists work.. I was nothing short of inspired.
When you explore places you’ve never been before and you have conversations with different minds you understand and gain new perspectives on the way you view things. I believe you become more open to new ideas and different concepts. I read this dramatic piece about Michelangelo from 1503, where rather than him depict the Battle of Cascina, he decided to show the moment before the fight – where the soldiers were caught off guard whilst bathing before the fight of the Piscan army. I thought deeply about this and I found it inspiring that he chose to draw that moment rather than the actual fight itself.. as I read more I began to realize that his way of thinking was different than everybody else, his thought process was unique and the way he expresses himself is unlike anyone else. I took away with me this simple thought.. Being unique is beautiful, being DIFFERENT is something incomparable and rather than us trying to conform or fit in to societies definition of beauty, we need to own who we are and love ourselves as there is no one else on this earth like you.
Following the Art Museum, I headed over to Manchester’s Cat Cafe. I had never been before so it was all a new experience for me. When I arrived the kind lady at the desk walked me through the process before I eventually headed in to have coffee with the kitties! They have a no shoe policy so I kicked off my boots and wandered into the cafe’ When I got inside it was beautiful! I didn’t know what to expect so when I actually stepped inside I was delighted.. The staff are the friendliest people and the cats are so loving and calm. I loved that every person inside had a smile on their face, it truly was a warm and welcome place to visit Above is a photo I took of a stranger feeding one of the cats which I found quite peaceful. If anyone is thinking of checking this place out, I would highly recommend it and give it a solid 5 stars 🙂
